Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati - Shillong
Your journey begins as you arrive in Guwahati, where you'll be greeted and driven to Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya, often referred to as the "Scotland of the East." En route, enjoy the scenic beauty of Umiam Lake, a serene reservoir surrounded by lush hills. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the local markets or simply relaxing.
Day 2: Shillong Local Sightseeing
Today, explore the picturesque city of Shillong. Visit the Shillong Peak, which offers panoramic views of the city, and the Elephanta Falls, which is a majestic three-tiered waterfall. Proceed to the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, an architectural marvel, followed by a visit to the serene Ward's Lake. Later, drive to the stunning Laitlum Canyon, known for its breathtaking vistas and tranquil ambiance. Return to Shillong in the evening.
Day 3: Shillong Local Sightseeing
Start your day with a visit to Mawlynnong Village, the cleanest village in Asia. Stroll through the town, marveling at the living root bridges and the panoramic views from the Sky Walk.
