Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Bagdogra (IXB) – Drive to Gangtok

  • Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB), embark on a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.
  • Check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, exploring the local markets or relaxing in the serene mountain environment.

Day 2: Gangtok Local Sightseeing with Rumtek Monastery

  • Begin your day with a visit to the famous Rumtek Monastery, a spiritual hub for Tibetan Buddhism.
  • Continue to the Banjhakri Waterfalls, a beautiful natural spot surrounded by forest.
  • Visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and the Do Drul Chorten Stupa, followed by a stroll around the colorful MG Road for some local shopping and dining.
  • Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir & Nathula Pass

  • Take a day trip to Tsomgo Lake, a breathtaking high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
  • Visit the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a temple dedicated to an Indian army soldier revered as a local deity.
  • (Optional) Head to Nathula Pass (subject to availability), the historic India-China border point at an elevation of 14,140 feet.
  • Return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Gangtok to Pelling via Temi Tea Garden, Ravangla Buddha Park

  • After breakfast, drive to Pelling with stops at Temi Tea Garden, the only tea estate in Sikkim known for its organic tea plantations.
  • Visit the magnificent Ravangla Buddha Park, home to a towering statue of Lord Buddha amidst panoramic views of the mountains.
  • Continue to Pelling and check into your hotel for the night.

Day 5: Pelling Sightseeing – Skywalk, Pemayangtse Monastery & Namchi

  • Start your day with a visit to the Pelling Skywalk, the first glass skywalk in India, offering stunning views of the Kanchenjunga range.
  • Head to Pemyangtse Monastery, a peaceful retreat located in the hills.
  • Drive to Namchi to see the 118-ft tall statue of Guru Padmasambhava, offering spectacular views of the surrounding valleys.
  • Return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Gangtok to Bagdogra (IXB) – Departure

  • After breakfast, drive back to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, bidding farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Sikkim.
