Roots and Rivers Adventure

Day 1: Arrive in Guwahati - Drive to Cherrapunji (D)

• Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, meet and greet with our representative.
• Embark on a scenic drive to Cherrapunji, known as one of the wettest places on earth. Along the way, enjoy views of rolling hills, lush green valleys, and cascading waterfalls.
• Upon arrival in Cherrapunji, check in to your hotel and unwind.
• Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 2: Cherrapunji Trekking (B,D)

• Early morning, set out on a thrilling trek to the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a marvel of bioengineering made from intertwined tree roots.
• Continue the trek to the hidden gem, Rainbow Falls, renowned for its cascading waters and the enchanting rainbow that forms in its spray.
• Return to Cherrapunji by evening, and rest after a day of adventure.
• Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 3: Cherrapunji - Shnongpdeng (B,D)

• After breakfast, visit the pristine Wai Sawdong Waterfall, a three-tiered waterfall that offers mesmerizing views and a refreshing experience.
• Next, explore Mawsmai Cave, famous for its limestone formations and narrow passages that provide a fascinating underground adventure.
• In the afternoon, drive to Shnongpdeng for riverside camping along the banks of the serene Umngot River.
• Enjoy an evening by the campfire under the stars.
• Overnight in riverside tents at Shnongpdeng.

Day 4: Shnongpdeng - Mawlynnong - Shillong (B,D)

• Start the day with a peaceful boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River, where you can see the riverbed clearly through the transparent waters.
• Later, visit Mawlynnong Village, Asia's cleanest village, and walk to the Nowhet Single Root Living Bridge, another natural wonder of Meghalaya.
• Continue to Shillong, with a stop at the iconic Elephant Falls, where water cascades over three rock tiers.
• Reach Shillong by evening and check in at your hotel.
• Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 5: Shillong  - Drive to Kaziranga (B,D)

• After breakfast, visit the tranquil Ward’s Lake in Shillong for a peaceful stroll or a boat ride amidst beautiful gardens.
• Explore the bustling Police Bazar, Shillong’s central shopping hub where you can pick up souvenirs and local handicrafts.
• Post lunch, embark on a drive to Kaziranga National Park, home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros.
• Arrive in Kaziranga by late evening and check in at your hotel.
• Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 6: Kaziranga - Departure from Guwahati (B)

• Early morning, embark on an Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spot the majestic one-horned rhinos, elephants, and other wildlife amidst the misty grasslands.
• After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati airport for your onward journey, cherishing the memories of an unforgettable trip through Meghalaya and Kaziranga.
