Jordan: History and Desert

Day 1: Arrival at Queen Alia Airport – Amman (D)

Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport, where you'll be greeted by our English-speaking local representative. They will assist you with obtaining your visa, retrieving your luggage, and passing through customs. You will then meet your driver and be transferred to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Amman City Tour – Jerash – Amman (B,D)

After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Amman. Start by visiting the Citadel, Archaeological Museum, and Roman Theatre. Stroll through Rainbow Street, known for its historic charm and traditional houses. Visit the bustling downtown souqs, where you'll find everything from exquisite jewelry to daily essentials.
In the afternoon, head to the ancient Roman city of Jerash, one of the best-preserved cities of the Roman Empire. Explore its impressive temples, theatres, and colonnaded streets. After your exploration, return to Amman for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Amman – Petra Visit (B,D)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing for Petra, Jordan's most famous archaeological site. Walk through the narrow, winding Siq to reach the breathtaking Treasury, carved into the rose-red cliffs. Continue exploring the Street of Facades, the Roman Theatre, and the Colonnaded Street. You will also have free time to explore the hidden gems of Petra on your own, such as the Monastery or the High Place of Sacrifice. Overnight in Petra.

Day 4: Petra – Little Petra – Wadi Rum (B, D)

After breakfast, spend the morning exploring Petra at your leisure. Later, visit Little Petra, an ancient Nabatean village carved into the rocks, used as a caravanserai. In the afternoon, drive to Wadi Rum, also known as the "Valley of the Moon." Embark on a guided tour of this dramatic desert landscape, visiting the Nabatean Temple, Lawrence's Spring, the sand dunes, and Khazali Canyon. Arrive at your desert camp in the evening for a traditional Bedouin dinner and overnight stay under the stars in private tents.

Day 5: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Amman (B,D)

After breakfast, depart Wadi Rum and drive to Madaba, famous for its intricate mosaics. Visit St. George's Church to see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land. Continue to Mt. Nebo, where Moses is said to have viewed the Promised Land. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the Jordan Valley, Jericho, and the Dead Sea.
Proceed to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, where you can relax and float in the mineral-rich waters. Experience the therapeutic benefits of the Dead Sea's mud before returning to Amman for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure – Queen Alia Airport (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your memorable journey through Jordan.
