Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Cochin – Transfer to Munnar

  • Distance: 150 km (Approx. 4-hour drive)
  • Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport or Railway Station, meet your driver and proceed to Munnar, a beautiful hill station renowned for its tea gardens and cool climate.
  • Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can explore the nearby areas or simply relax amidst the natural beauty.
  • Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 02: Munnar Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, embark on a day of sightseeing in and around Munnar:
    • Mattupetty Dam: A popular spot for picnics and boating, surrounded by lush hills.
    • Echo Point: Famous for the natural echo phenomenon, offering breathtaking views.
    • Tea Plantation Visit: Explore the lush green tea estates that Munnar is famous for.

  • In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Periyar Lake (own cost), which offers a unique way to explore Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and spot wildlife such as elephants, deer, and birds in their natural habitat.

  • After breakfast, check out and depart for Alleppey or Kumarakom, famous for their tranquil backwaters and houseboats.
  • Check into your hotel or resort and spend the afternoon relaxing.
  • In the evening, embark on a backwater cruise (own cost) through Kerala's serene villages, offering a glimpse of rural life amidst coconut groves and rice paddies.

Day 05: Departure from Cochin

  • Distance: 100 km (Approx. 2-hour drive)
  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed back to Cochin for your onward journey, with beautiful memories of Kerala's natural wonders.
